Capital Hills At Albany, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Albany, New York.

Capital Hills golf course opened for play in 1928. The course was designed by Devereux Emmet. The course was rennovated by Richard Jacobson.

The course was redesigned by Robert Smith and Edward Bosse and reopened for play as the New Course at Albany on July 12, 1991.

Back tees play from 6179 yards and provides a formidable test of golf. The course borders the Norman's Kill creek on six holes. The front nine includes one hole from the original course the 513-yard par five 1st. The front nine also includes water on two holes, the 285-yard par four 5th and the 370-yard par four 6th. The back nine finishing holes include the 406-yard signature 17th hole, a dogleg right to an elevated green where par is hard to come by. .

Staff was awful, rude, disrespectful, and I was overcharged. The level of arrogance is astronomical. Not worth time or money.

Not being a resident, it was not as good a deal for ne as the other eviewers but was still a fair price. Good conditions and fun layout. Maybe a little too hilly which left some tough lies.

Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

Love this course. The resident rate is unbeatable for a course of this quality. A little short at times, but an enjoyable test. Always in pretty good shape.

City owned course gets a lot of play, but is well maintained and has some exceptional holes. On most holes you only see the hole you are playing. Walkers welcome but it is a challenging walk
